Since the all-new RZ 450e is available for pre-order now and is due to arrive at dealerships this December 2022, the team at Lexus RGV wanted to unpack the essential details of this all-new Lexus. There’s a lot that can be said about Lexus’ first global battery electric vehicle (BEV) model but for our first post on the Lexus RZ 450e, we wanted to provide bite-sized bits of information on the features, options and model builds that will soon be available. The Lexus RZ features an advanced lithium-ion battery pack and DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system designed to deliver more than an EV. Designed and developed as only Lexus can, the new RZ not only delivers the next chapter of electrified mobility but is said to connect you to the drive like never before thanks to the utilization of a BEV-specific platform (e-TNGA), as well as a lightweight and highly rigid body that has enhanced the fundamental performance of this new Lexus by achieving optimal weight distribution through the ideal placement of the battery and motor coupled with the adoption of new steering control systems. The Lexus RZ’s cabin is described as minimalist, yet airy with maxed-out luxury details.
