The 2022 Lexus RX 350L and RX 450hL will see minor updates and changes for the upcoming model year. Albeit minor changes on paper, we think that for some Lexus owners and current RX leasees, these updates might be something to consider – especially if you have a lease coming due anytime soon and want to keep a specific exterior color.

What immediately caught our attention as we looked over the changes coming to 2022 Lexus RX were the colors that Lexus has decided to discontinue. Popular Lexus colors including Nebula Gray Pearl (1H9), Atomic Silver (1J7), Obsidian (212), and Moonbeam Beige Metallic (4X8) will be discontinued for the 2022 Lexus RX L model year. New color choices will include Cloudburst Gray (1L1) and Iridium (1L2) – both of which you can see on the 2021 Lexus IS sedan right now.

Here’s what else you can expect to be different on the 2022 Lexus 350L and RX 450hL:

• Coin tray added to the center console storage box
• Cargo deck floor handle changed from chrome to black
• BlackLine Special Edition RX L available:
  • Available in Eminent White Pearl (085) or Cloudburst Gray (1L1)
  • Black grille and lower front bumper
  • Black painted side-view mirror caps
  • 20-inch split-10 spoke alloy wheels with black finish
  • Black NuLuxe with blue stitching and blue seatbelts
  • Black Open Pore Wood trim
  • Leather-and Ash wood-trimmed steering wheel
  • Floor mats, cargo mat, and key gloves
• LED fog lamps (FG) are now available as an option with Premium Package or Special Edition
